Alternative Metal/Music
Nirvana, Pearl Jam, System Of A Down, The Smashing Pumpkins, Korn, Blur and the list goes on.
Is anyone a fan of the alternative movement?

Yeah, I really love The Smashing Pumpkins and all of that shit.
That's all they sued to play on MTV when I was a kid, so I got exposed to it all of the time.
Sometimes it's fun to take a break from extreme music and listen to some Nirvana, it's therapeutic.

I love Nirvana.
It's still really sad that Kurt died, he was ahead of his time.
When the band was active in the 80s they really helped develop and popularize the grunge genre.

I wonder if the band would still be big if Kurt didn't die...
Well, I mean, really big, like, always in the charts and such.

It would probably be a lot bigger than most bands out there today.jasonking wrote:I wonder if the band would still be big if Kurt didn't die...

If you look at basically any talented artist or band that has gotten as big as Nirvana that has broken up or had to find a replacement member because of death or other problems, they only gained more fans and respect from the musical community.

I agree with most of what you said, but grunge is a dying genre these days, although, it still has some strength left.davidgarcia wrote:I doubt it.mdemaz wrote:I honestly think that the band would of fallen off.jasonking wrote:I wonder if the band would still be big if Kurt didn't die...

I love those new revival bands that are coming out with heavy stuff.
