Mat Demaz - Unto Deaf Ears

Here's one of my new records.

This is one of the latest offering from Brisbane, Australia-based Armenian multi-instrumentalist and producer, Mat Demaz. This slew of middle-eastern-style chugging guitar riffs, cryptic sociopolitical lyrics and screeching vocals, pounds heads with subtle, yet profound lyrical direction, and exciting new possibilities for the metal genre. With range going from extreme thrash metal, to almost soft rock, fans of music will have a lot to pick from.

The influences of Armenian-American musicians, System of a Down are glaringly obvious here, but Mat's musical compositions are original and have their own atmosphere, only slightly resembling System's early work.

This is an album for fans of metal who want something a bit different.
