Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
So my good friend Mr. DGAF (I think he's signing up for the forum soon) and his personal friend Dimes made this EP the past few months. I mixed most of the tracks and even featured. Check it out! These guys are part of the Eemaz Mob. DGAF drew this cover!
01. Picture Frame ft. Eedee
02. Man On A Mission
03. Ready For War
04. The Search
05. Over & Over
06. Only A Dream
07. Graduation ft. Eedee
BONUS:
08. Growing From The Bottom
09. Misogyny ft. Mac & Chase

Re: Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
01. Picture Frame ft. Eedee
- I honestly am in love with this song. DGAF's flow is top notch and has such eloquent wordplay and phrasing. Rhymes galore. Dimes goes in as well, as one of his earlier songs he's written, it's not too bad but you can definitely see improvement throughout the EP as we go along. Tbh, I like my hook probably too much. This whole song's vibe is dope.
02. Man On A Mission
- DGAF goes in as always. Not much else to say, bro. The one line that stood out to me is that "nowadays, a bitch ain't a dog". The truth in that is astounding and I'm amazed no one has ever thought of that before.
03. Ready For War
- Holy shit the flows!!! You both go hard. The hook is not so hard but I know that's your bro so I'll take it with a grain of salt haha. Nice track. Moving on!
04. The Search
- Dimes' first solo track on this EP. He pulled it off well. Nice message and some great lines in there. Improvement. I see it.
05. Over & Over
- DGAF's first solo track on this EP. The beat comes in hard and then DGAF comes quick with some fire. Your flow is flawless on everything you do. Damn. That hook's vibe is amazing.
06. Only A Dream
- Dimes' second solo track. This fucking hook is dope as shit. Lovin' the atmosphere of this song and EP as a whole. Love the echoes that Dimes put in. Good work.
07. Graduation ft. Eedee
- DGAF has his flow on lock on this song. Great message and emotion. Dimes comes in with a heartfelt verse. I can feel this. I can get into this. Then my verse talking about after graduation lol. I think I mixed the vocals well on this song. Feels more professional than any on the EP.
08. Growing From The Bottom (BONUS)
- Solo track from DGAF. You know what I think of this; it's dope as hell. Flow is on point as always. Your lyricism is fucking amazing.
09. Misogyny ft. Mac & Chase (BONUS)
- LOL. That is all.
------------------------------
Great EP, I love the vibe of it. Every song feels connected and shit.
Look out for DGAF x Eedee EP/mxitape this summer. #Catastrophic

Re: Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
I just wanna thank anybody who listens to this honestly. I don't have a pro mic or anything so quality isn't great but I hope the quality of what we say can make up for that.
Shout out to Eedee and Dimes for being there the whole way. Took about 3 months to finish but it's done haha.

Worth A Listen (73%)
Straight out of the underground comes the rapper known as DGAF.
Although he has not quite yet mastered his craft, this tape is very hard to ignore.
Not only did it actually surprise me at times with the epic singing and dope lyricism, but some songs had a really cool atmosphere.
Not gonna lie, DGAF sounds maybe a bit too laid back on most of the tracks
This is what I was expecting from a underground tape, although, it is different from anything I have ever heard.
Eedee's presence gives this a highly mysterious and interesting vibe to the whole album.
there are some very moving tracks, like Graduation, and some cool classic hip-hop tracks like Man On A Mission.
Truly, this is a enjoyable experience, although, most of the rapping could of been of a higher quality.
The hooks by Eedee were good.
Dimes singing was also enjoyable, for what you guys had to work with, anyway.
The rest of the album is a roller coaster ride that deserves an experience.
The last track made me giggle.
Young minds tend to provide us with interesting insight on the world, although, immature, the views expressed in hip-hop tapes like this are mostly surprisingly realistic and contain valid points.
I would recommend this tape to whoever is reading this, but, be warned, this album is of low quality. and you may not like it if you just focus on the flaws.
If you have a fetish for raw bedroom rap, then this is definitely for you.

Re: Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
Listened to most the songs on this mixtape and gotta say it changed my opinion about you, i heard you one of eedee's songs and wasn't really feeling it but these songs proved me otherwise. Picture frame was my favourite song, verses and hook were all cool to listen too, i also really liked growing from the bottom.
nice work bro

Re: Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
1. Picture Frame ft. Eedee
This is pretty good; DGAF's flow is consistent and enjoyable.
There's a lot of distortion in the vocals at times, though.
Dimes did well at the end with the singing.
A lot of personal issues in the lyrics and emotion.
This type of stuff is good, it lets the listener connect with you.
2. Man On A Mission
Nice, nice, one of my favorite track on this tape.
3. Ready For War
Insane flows, the low quality sorta puts me off, though.
The hook could of been better.
Nice lyrics.
04. The Search
This would of been really good if it was mixed better.
The beat seems too quiet and the vocals sound really dull.
Despite the flaws, the rapping is really good.
05. Over & Over
Ok, this is another top pick here.
The flows are nuts, the lyrics are HIGHLY technical, there's soo much personal issues surfacing and a lot of emotion in this track. which amplifies the epicness.
One of the few tracks I actually enjoyed on a professional level.
06. Only A Dream
Another top album pick here.
I enjoyed this.
07. Graduation ft. Eedee
I really liked this track as well.
08. Growing From The Bottom (BONUS)
Nice little club banger here.
There's not much to say.
09. Misogyny ft. Mac & Chase (BONUS)
...
You all need psychiatric care.
Overall, not bad for what it is, a fun little experiment.
Now that you know how you sound, you should look forward into the future and think about how you can improve your quality.

Re: Mr. DGAF & Dimes - "Take Root EP"
Thanks man. Hopefully over the summer ill have professional equipment; Eedee and I have some big things planned. I just wanted to see if I had what it took to make something like this. I really enjoy the fact that you got some entertainment out of any of these tracks man, we tried really hard to deal with the quality issues and just rap as well as we could at the time.
