Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
Cover credit: Blu
Hey! So I'm putting out another mixtape. Just a fair warning, I realized once I got back to my dorm from the studio that the soundboard I used messed up the vocal levels and I did my best to salvage them, but I think it's still enjoyable regardless.

Mind giving some track feedback, perhaps, if you'd be so kind?
Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I'll start.
1. Vendetta (Intro)
I found the quick rapping here interesting but you fell off the beat a little bit after a while.
You should of kept doing the same thing you did at the start.
2. This Time
Liked the female hook, the verse sounds a bit lackluster at the start.
I liked the verse as it progresses, though.
How it makes that transition to goofy to aggressive is brilliant.
Weird song.
Not bad.
The vocals are a bit too loud.
3. Step One
Liked the energy here.
Good delivery and shit.
Nothing else to say.
4. In This Moment
You go off a beat a little bit.
I think you know when, it's obvious.
I liked the verse, though.
The main problem I think you have is the way you rap.
It feels like you are really fucking nervous and shit and you go ahead and behind the beat a lot.
This whole mixtape atm just sounds really desperate and rushed beyond belief.
I know if you had more time, you;'d be fine, but yeah.
5. Personal Army (Feat. Precision)
Now this is more like it.
Loved the energy and overall vibe of this.
THIS is what I'm talking about.
Precision was a bit, eh.
6. Stick It To Your Sister (Feat. Beefy Wang)
What were you thinking?
7. Close The Book (Feat. Precision & Mike Murdoch)
Good joint.
Sounds really raw, though.
Raw as in, unprocessed, straight from the microphone to the computer, you know.
8. Find My Way
Good shit.
You seem to do better with epic beats like this, tbh.
9. Won't Stop
Cool vocals here.
The vocals are a bit too loud.
Good rhyming and such.
10. Not Perfect (Feat. TripleNineThree)
Now this is cool.
Eedee and Triple both have amazing verses here.
Interesting and riveting lyrical content and such.
I liked the choice of beat.
11. Without You I'm Nothing Freestyle
Haha, nice one.
12. Everything We Do (Feat. Mike Murdoch)
The vocals sound a bit too loud.
There's really not much to say.
The hook is a bit weird, lol.
13. Headed For The Light
Um, yeah.
This is fucking awesome.
Nothing much to say.
14. The Road Ahead (Feat. Precision & Mike Murdoch)
This sounds pretty cool.
Can't say that it sounds professional, though.
Nice verses.
15. Slowly Dead
I love this shit.
There's no ignoring your lyrical skills, tbh.
16. Glass House
Loved the shut up and listen thing.
You couldn't of picked a better song to end the mixtape with.
Loved the delivery, the mixing was actually pretty cool.
Liked the beat, liked the lyrics.
Good one.
Overall.
Not bad; sounds rushed as hell, though.
Perfect your craft and come back better than ever.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
1. Vendetta (Intro)
Well...
Um, the first verse is like a train going off the rails ever so slowly.
Around halfway it sounds fine.
I'm aware that your gear is shitty; so, I'll ignore the vocal quality and shit unless it's unbearable or it affects the song.
Cool intro.
2. This Time
Some clever lines in there.
Great content.
There's one thing that's bugging me, the beat is too low...
3. Step One
Fuck yeah; I love this song.
Sounds like your are fucking gonna explode at any minute like a time bomb.
Good content; I noticed some clever lines with double meanings.
Silence and death.
4. In This Moment
Flow is fine but you go off a little bit from time to time.
Mixing sounds ok.
5. Personal Army (Feat. Precision)
I like this.
Can't really find anything wrong with this content wise.
Precision needs a bit of work on energy and delivery but he's ok.
6. Stick It To Your Sister (Feat. Beefy Wang)
What were you thinking?
7. Close The Book (Feat. Precision & Mike Murdoch)
That beat tag was fucking annoying.
That hook sounds like shit, just my opinion.
Good singing but I was cringing because of the bad quality.
Awesome verses, good content; can't find anything wrong with anything else.
Well, the hook sounds alright after a few listens but it's too loud and raw.
Eedee's verse is fucking great.
8. Find My Way
This sounds pretty good.
I like the mellow vibe and decent mixing.
Not a huge fan of the hook; but, it's passable.
9. Won't Stop
Interesting voice effect.
good content, solid delivery, flow and rhyming.
10. Not Perfect (Feat. TripleNineThree)
A,alright, this song is pretty damn good.
I like how Eedee's vocals blend in nicely.
Who mixed this?
This sounds fucking awesome.
I'd go as far as calling this the best song on the tape.
Triple fucking SLAMS his verse down.
I love how such a religious person can be soo aggressive.
Mad respect.
11. Without You I'm Nothing Freestyle
LOL.
Nice.
12. Everything We Do (Feat. Mike Murdoch)
Not bad.
This actually sounds pretty good.
13. Headed For The Light
I love the reference in the song title, lol.
Nothing much to say; solid performance.
14. The Road Ahead (Feat. Precision & Mike Murdoch)
Um, not bad.
Whoever is singing isn't bad; but, the quality kills his effort.
Nice verses.
15. Slowly Dead
Yeah.
Vintage Eedee here.
16. Glass House
This sounds good.
Nothing much to say.
Good finale.
Overall, this was pretty good.
Can't say it's much of a step up from SM; but, It's got a few awesome tracks.
I wanna ehar more songs like Not Perfect.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
Gonna give some overall feed.
Some tracks sound really good and some sound god awful.
As a whole, this album suffers.
Some tracks have terrible quality, like Close The Book.
The vocals just sound like shit on most of the songs.
Not Perfect is the only bearable song on there.
I wanna see you do more not perfects, dude.
I don't wanna see you get hated on all the time from dickheads.
I know you can do better than this.
I know that your gear is shit; I know that you can't record in your dorm; I know you wanna record some good stuff.
You don't have to prove anything to anyone.
Demaz has told me everything.
You can do better man.
Just get your confidence back and do a few freestyles and let Demaz or whatever mix the songs.
I wanna hear some more songs like Not Perfect from you.
I wanna be able to point people to your best work so that you can get some fans and not hate for the shitty quality.
This is all I can say really.
I don't have a problem with you; I just know how easy it is for people to give up because they keep getting avoidable hate.
I know you can do it.
Good luck.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
this sounds really weird but I like your rhymes and stuff
if I had to give criticism on your performances
I'd say try to control your voice because your voice cracks a lot and it's a bit annoying
I love not perfect and the intro track although you went off beat a bit
nothing much I can say
sorry for the lame feed I'm on my phone listening to the album
I downloaded it on my computer and put the tracks on my phone and I'm on a train to work
I'll probably edit this post to add some more feed

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
Yeah I know the quality sucks. I apologize profusely. I won't happen again. I did all I could to salvage the vocal files...
Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I had a quick 20 minute flick through the songs.
Demaz was talking to me on webcam as I was listening.
I love the energy and lyrics in most of the songs but the quality cripples the enjoyment factor.
I think it's good to know that this album was not a hopeless failure; you got one awesome track on it.
Needless to say, I'm not a huge rap fan; but, I know good quality and this album didn't have it.
Don't beat yourself up about it, though.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I really like Not Perfect.
Um, everyone is saying that the quality is horrible, how so?
It's not that bad really.
The vocals sound clean and the production is ok.
The beats seem really low, though.
Can't really give good feed because this is just unfeedable in terms of quality and mixing because it's obvious the the gear is poor.
But the quality isn't as bad as everyone is saying; it's low, yeah, but it's not awful.
Chill out, Eedee.
I thought it was pretty good.
I flicked through the tracks and realized that you have some intricate lyrics and that's fucking awesome.
Don't give up!

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I'm gonna agree with Renee.
The quality wasn't bad enough to shred eardrums.
It's listenable.
A lot more than I can say for some other rappers with shit gear.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I just feel that I wasted perfectly good songs/lyrics/messages/beats with the shitty quality of the vocals.
One of the worst feelings in the world.

You see, we here don't judge you blindly; we see the talent.

Aw, don't feel bad, sweetie.
If you stop chasing your dream, all the work you've done to become at least a decent rapper will go to waste.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
I might record this for better quality later on this year or early next year... We'll see.
I just don't want these lyrics/songs to go to waste with shitty quality.
And thanks. I'm not giving up. I've realized this'll give me the fire I need to continue on.
A shitstorm is coming.

Re: Eedee presents: LIGHTS OUT
Yep. I just feel bad because quality backtracked from the 8 Week Project.
But I know why the quality was shit and it will be fixed next time I'm in the studio.

It's just Week 1 through 8 on my YouTube channel.
Personal Army, Dead To me, Chasing Not A Shadow, etc.
